You Can Run...But You Can't Hide
Words from a song or a quote from an action movie? Nope. That's what President Bush had to say about John Kerry's less than spectacular voting record during his 20 plus years in the U.S. Senate. I loved that line in the debate last Friday night. I think it accomplished something that President Bush wasn't able to do in the first debate. He was finally able to point out the fact that Kerry's record just doesn't jive with what he stands for. During the debate he said we need better intelligence, and we need to fund that intelligence (which we do). However, after the first WTC attack in 1993, he voted to CUT intelligence spending by over 7 BILLION dollars. He also says that he wants to reduce taxes for the middle class, but he has voted to raise taxes almost 100 times. Please explain to me how that one works.
This is something that just doesn't make sense to me. How can you constantly say you're for something, but deny it by your actions? Kerry has been proven to be a "flip flopper" time and time again, yet he proves to still be wildly popular. Are people just not thinking critically when they look at him as a candidate, or is it that their hatred for George Bush is so strong, it doesn't matter who they vote for, as long as it's not him?
It just seems quite odd to me sometimes. Say what you will about Bush, but he stinks with what he says, isn't afraid to stand up to the rest of the world, and truly seems to care about our country and our best interests. I'd much rather have someone occupying the White House who cares more about what I think than what the leaders of Europe think.
Oh just to add more evidence about Kerry (in an amusing way), check out this link : http://johnkerryads.websiteanimal.com/. It's definitely worth a listen.
Well that's my two cents for the day.
